Ego
Typeface, specimen and vase designed in 2023 during the curse “Ecriture Visuelle II” supervised by Charlotte Rohde.
Ego is several. It is the I, the self-as-knower, as well as Me, the-self-as-known. Egos is fluctuating between different, sometimes even opposing, positions communicating with each other about their Me’s and Mine’s, creating a whole “society of mind”. Ego is as tough, as it is soft. It is confident and shy. It is Grotesk as well as high contrast. Egos Me and Mine consist of its belongings as well as its environment, creating a blur between the internal and external. Ego is influenced by social and parasocial relationships, by its family and its enemies by Venus and by calligraphy.
